Donald Crowe holds a B.A. (Honors) degree in English and Psychology, as well as a B.Ed. and a teaching certificate from the University of Toronto. He has worked as an officer in the Department of Corrections, a teacher in a psychiatric hospital and as a counselor for emotionally disturbed children at a residential treatment center. He also worked for the Federal Government with the Ministry of Immigration.

He has a particular affinity for Shakespeare, Dickens, the great writers of the late eighteen hundreds, and loves the nuances of Spanish and European writers.
Due to a fusion of interrelated physical challenges, Donald tries to spend about ten hours a week on his various writing projects, although even that paucity of time isn’t always possible. He devotes much of his time mentally re-developing plots, characters and dialogue. He relies on the support and love of his partner and editor, Rena, who often catches him in inspirational moments walking from room to room and has to ascertain which Donald she’s actually communicating with: a weathered fairy godmother, perhaps, a surgeon, or a detective discerning a foundation of clues?
Donald has authored a number of prize-winning pieces of short fiction. To date, he’s published six fiction novels and a children’s book..
